It is here that we must recognize that to access the second story of Man's House, is to access the unknown. The domains of Mind and Spirit, which represent the fine, non-material possibilities and potentials available to Man. To access the second story of Man's Two-Story house we must have stairs that lead from the known to the unknown and a door that separates the two.

In the philosophy of the "Two-Story House" the stairs are movement from the coarse to the fine and the door is "Man's free will" and "mental ego." In this philosophy the "ego" must yield to higher "energy" as perceived by Man's highest Mental capacity and approved by his free will. This process of ego yielding and free will approving is Man climbing the stairs of the known and opening the door of the unknown of the second story of man's Two-Story House.

So, it is that by utilizing the philosophy of The Two-Story House we are able to view ourselves as physical energy, mental energy, mindal energy, and spiritual energy. We can also realize that each energy requires food to fuel it to be useable by man. We might also deduct that man is a free will creature and that man must decide to feed himself the type of food needed to access his energy.
